The event combines the brand’s Good Food, Great Times philosophy with The Wings Etc. Foundation’s mission to improve children’s lives
FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The Wings Etc. Foundation is pleased to host a cornhole tournament on August 24 to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The event will take place at the Wings Beach Club, adjacent to the Wings Etc. Grill and Pub in Osceola, Indiana. The Wings Beach Club is home to six lighted, regulation-size beach volleyball courts, an outdoor bar and patio, and a large sandbox/play area.
The tournament will include as many as 48 teams of two. Check-in starts at 11:30 a.m., and play begins at noon. Participants can sign up at beachclub.wingsetc.info.
The Wings Etc. Foundation is raising funds through entry fees ($50 per two-person team) and a 50-50 raffle. A portion of the sales of a selected food item and beverage from the menu also will be donated to St. Jude. The first-place tournament prize is $300; second place nets a $200 prize; and third place takes home $100. The event is organized by The Wings Etc. Foundation Events Committee.
The cornhole tournament is a follow up to the volleyball tournament held in June at the same location, which raised $5,000. Both serve as fundraisers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“At Wings Etc., we believe in giving back,” says Eric Stuczynski, chief procurement and development officer and president of The Wings Etc. Foundation. “We also want to make sure our guests have a great time. This event promises to be a fun day while serving The Wings Etc. Foundation mission and our partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.”
The Wings Etc. Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization administered by leaders in the Wings Etc. Grill & Pub franchise organization and its affiliated companies, was founded in September 2023 to further the brand’s corporate value of giving back.
